Goodbye Dear Bonnie

For the past 5 years Clint and I have been very blessed to know our amazing neighbors Bonnie & Phil. Sadly Bonnie past away last weekend, but we are glad her painful battle with cancer is over. Today we went to her service that was packed with many people like us whose lives were touched deeply by knowing Bonnie. She truly was one of the most remarkable women I have ever met. Even in the darkest times of her illness and treatment, she never lost her sense of humor or gave-in to despair. We will miss her greatly, but are so thankful for the fact that we had her in our lives.

Hurray for Huggies!

This is one of those pics that I know Christopher will kill me for posting later, but I couldn't resist:) Our baby boy now has two bottom teeth finally!!! He now weights 19 pounds, 5 ounces. Last night was the first time in 5 weeks that my little guy finally slept through the night again...It was pure heaven:) His most recent trouble has been waking up very upset from soggy diapers. I had been using these nighttime pampers that are supposed to give great leak support up to 12 hours...Well let me tell you, they didn't last 4 hours! So last night I put Chris in his regular Huggies Diapers and there were no complaints or leaks to speak of. I hope sweet dreams are here for awhile.

WE LOVE Chick-fil-A!

There are no Chick-fil-A's near us in Burbank, so when we were traveling home from Fresno and spotted one in Bakersfield this past weekend, we were all over it! We even had the honor of meeting Mr. Cow! Christopher loved his soft hooves:)

This weekend Christopher was baptized by Pastor Ara Guekguezian, who married Clint and I over 5 years ago. The service/baptism took place at the Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church in Fresno, California. The day was perfect, a moment in time I will always treasure.

Carnival

Today my son decided that he didn't need to nap. The good news...he's feeling much better now that his antibiotics have kicked-in. Yes, Christopher ended up with two very painful ear infections at once! I've never seen my little guy in so much pain! Wait a minute, he had colic, what am I talking about!?! Anyway, despite no naps, he was in such good spirits today. I'm sure the little guy is just so happy not to be in so much pain anymore...that makes two of us:)

The pic below is from a carnival we went to today up the street at our neighborhood elementary school. Nana Parsons won several prizes, including a orange monkey for Christopher...Myself, not so lucky, but it was a lot of fun!

7 Months

My baby boy is 7 months old today! He now sits up on his own and is really starting to finally master crawling forward. Last night was the first night he started sleeping on his stomach, which of course made me a neurotic monitor watcher...The fact he woke up crying every hour didn't help my fears! After visiting the doc this morning, it looks like Christopher has fluid building in both ears...not ear infections yet, but could be on their way:( I was told to give him some Motrin and Benadryl tonight and see what happens. I pray this does the trick and that my little man sleeps thru the night...speaking of which, I better get to bed myself!

I told you I was neurotic!

Happy Belated Easter

We had another simple holiday...just Mamma, Papa, Christopher, and Brother Bear. We already are seeing a difference with Chris' helmet, so now we are officially believers! Plus, he now takes two hour naps!!!

Week 1

Today we went to Christopher's 1st week check-up to see how things were progressing with his helmet (DOC Band). All looked great! The back of his head is already starting to round more as it should, and we don't have to return for another two weeks!

Here's a pic of my helpful shopping companion...
